TL;DR
ATE & Manufacturing Engineer (Automotive): Supporting and optimizing automated test equipment and high-volume manufacturing operations with an accent on system-level troubleshooting, production test systems, and process efficiency. Focus on performing root cause analysis, developing Python-based automation and monitoring tools, and deploying improvements across international manufacturing sites.
Location: Petah Tikva, Israel; hybrid workplace with regular on-site support at international manufacturing locations and at least quarterly business travel

What you will do
- Support, maintain, and optimize Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems for high-volume production.
- Troubleshoot complex production and test failures and perform root cause analysis across hardware, software, automation, and manufacturing domains.
- Drive process optimization and continuous improvement to improve product quality, production efficiency, throughput, and operational stability.
- Monitor production performance, yield, and key performance indicators.
- Develop automation, monitoring, reporting, and test tools using Python.
- Collaborate with Software, Hardware, Integration, Quality, and Production teams while supporting international manufacturing sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience in mass production, manufacturing support, Automated Test Equipment, and production test systems.
- Strong Python skills for automation, debugging, data analysis, and test tool development.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and system-level investigation skills.
- Experience driving process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives while managing multiple priorities independently.
- Willingness to travel internationally at least once per quarter for manufacturing-site and critical production support.
Nice to have
- Experience with automotive, RF, or radar-based systems.
- Experience supporting global manufacturing sites.
- Familiarity with MATLAB and data analysis tools.
- Experience with JIRA and issue-tracking systems.
