Systems Engineer 3 (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance are required before the start date.

Salary: $122,000–$253,000 per year, based on qualifications, experience, and expertise.

What you will do

• Serve as a Scrum Master in an agile environment throughout the software development product lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Manage system and derived requirements to support production systems that align with defined architectures.
• Translate technical work into diagrams and other documentation in collaboration with developers.
• Allocate functional and system requirements across hardware, software, facilities, and personnel components.
• Coordinate action items from configuration control boards, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews, and contribute to Integrated Product Team activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and 20 years of systems engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity; five additional years of systems engineering experience may substitute for the degree.
• Understanding of agile processes, systems engineering models, requirements management, and architecture design.
• Experience with Java, Confluence, Jira, and AWS.
• Clear and concise communication and a collaborative working style with internal and external stakeholders.
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required before the start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
