Senior Software Engineer – Agentic AI Platform (AI)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas; onsite Tuesdays through Thursdays and virtual Mondays and Fridays

hirify.global provides contract technology staffing for software engineering assignments, including work supporting American Airlines’ agentic AI platform.

What you will do

• Build and maintain core platform components for agentic AI systems.
• Develop agent orchestration services, tool registries, execution runtimes, APIs, and microservices for LLM integration and agent lifecycle management.
• Implement observability, logging, monitoring, and comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with architects on platform design and with ML engineers on model integration.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation.
• Participate in on-call rotations and production support for the AI platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python proficiency and working knowledge of Java, Go, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building production REST or gRPC APIs and microservices.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Experience with LLM integration patterns, prompt engineering, or AI/ML application development, including familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration tools.
• Ability to write clean, testable code, operate production systems, communicate clearly in code reviews, and understand reliable service design around non-deterministic components.
• Must work onsite in Fort Worth Tuesday through Thursday; remote work is available Mondays and Fridays.

Nice to have

• Event-driven architecture experience with Kafka or EventBridge.
• Experience with vector databases, Datadog, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, or agent evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, async Python, Redis, or caching patterns.
• Airline or travel industry experience.
