Senior Software Engineer, Agent Platform (AI for the Planet)

Location: Seattle, Washington; expected to work from the Seattle offices. On-site requirements vary by position and team. The employer participates in E-Verify and requires authorization to work in the United States.

Base salary: $146,880–$220,320 per year, plus bonus plans and a long-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Build and evolve the core platform for organizations running AI agents against their own systems and data.
• Own the agent-authoring experience from initial development through production deployment.
• Build the UI, CLI, SDK, APIs, documentation, quickstarts, and example agents used by external developers.
• Develop and operate internal agents, evaluation workflows, and production services.
• Work directly with partner developers, identify blockers, and turn recurring problems into platform improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to prioritize work and improve team productivity through small tools and skills.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience across web UIs, backend services, CLIs, and cloud tooling.
• Experience shipping products to external users and communicating with users directly.
• Strong judgment about priorities, clean tested code, code review experience, and clear technical communication.
• Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, including creating custom skills or tools.
• Willingness to write documentation as part of the development process.

Nice to have

• Experience building developer tools, CLIs, SDKs, or public APIs.
• Experience building or operating LLM agents, prompts, tools, and evaluations.
• Experience with evaluation or experimentation systems.
• Small or growth-stage company experience and public technical work.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to meet users and partners.
