What you will do

• Develop computer vision and machine learning algorithms for detecting, classifying, localizing, and tracking objects from Group 1 UAVs.
• Write and test software that integrates ML algorithms into aircraft, camera payloads, autopilots, and robotic systems.
• Explore, visualize, clean, and transform datasets while identifying distribution differences and data-quality issues.
• Implement ML systems and validate designs through experiments, testing, evaluation, and verification.
• Analyze model errors, compare algorithms, develop improvement strategies, and define metrics for performance tracking.
• Select suitable datasets, representations, hardware, and tools for real-world model deployment and latency requirements.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• U.S. person status is required for ITAR/EAR-controlled information; some contracts may require current U.S. citizenship.
• BS-level education or equivalent experience in computer vision, machine learning, mathematics, optimization, computer science, engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace, or mechanical engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with C/C++, MATLAB, Python, machine learning libraries, deep learning frameworks, OpenCV, and Linux.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems, analyze data, and work independently and collaboratively in deadline-driven environments.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree.
• Experience with TensorFlow or Keras, scikit-learn, pandas, computational statistics, mathematical optimization, data mining, exploratory data analysis, and predictive analytics.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance and willingness to work on government contracts.
