ERP Engineer (Workday Financials)

Location: Madrid Office, hybrid

What you will do

• Support the implementation, configuration, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing enhancement of Workday Financials.
• Configure and maintain finance business processes, security, calculated fields, reports, dashboards, and data validations.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
• Improve connectivity between Workday and applications such as Workato, Salesforce, and Oracle for operations, analytics, workflow automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Support ticket handling, sprint participation, delivery tracking, and post-production operations.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in ERP, finance systems, business systems, or a related finance systems engineering or analyst role.
• Practical knowledge of general ledger, financial reporting, procure-to-pay, banking, order-to-cash, and fixed-asset processes.
• Experience supporting system enhancements, implementations, or post-go-live optimization.
• Data-driven approach with the ability to use reporting and process insights to make recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain system behavior and trade-offs clearly.
• Curious, service-oriented approach and interest in understanding business context.

Nice to have

• Workday Financials certification or formal training in a relevant Workday domain.
• Experience with financial controls, audit support, data reconciliation, or month-end close.
• Experience supporting a global or multi-country Finance organization.
• Experience with automation, integrations, or AI-enabled workflow improvements.
• Exposure to Jira, Claude, Gemini, or similar work management and generative AI tools.
