MES Configuration Expert PASX (PAS-X)

What you will do

• Design, configure, build, and maintain global MES solutions based on Werum PAS-X and Opstrakker.
• Translate business requirements into scalable core-model solutions for multiple business units and manufacturing sites.
• Design Master Batch Records, Process Instructions, blocks, templates, workflows, and functional specifications.
• Analyze end-to-end manufacturing processes and integrations with ERP, LIMS, SCADA, automation, labeling, and shopfloor systems.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot incidents, manage corrective and preventive actions, and support solution lifecycle activities.
• Coordinate with product owners, site modelers, developers, architects, quality, cybersecurity, and manufacturing stakeholders while delivering training to sites.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in digital manufacturing, ideally in MES implementations.
• Required expertise in Werum PAS-X and Opstrakker, including Master Batch Record and Review by Exception processes.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and GxP regulatory and validation requirements.
• Knowledge of MES architecture, integrations, automation layers, SCADA, DCS, PLCs, industrial protocols, and VB/.NET scripting.
• Engineering or Master's degree in Computer Science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Mandatory English proficiency; experience in multicultural, multilingual, and matrix organizations.

Nice to have

• Siemens Opcenter Execution Pharma, JSON, Power BI, Mendix, Azure, or cloud architecture experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted MES development using GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot.
• Project Management experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical automation, reporting, and digital industry standards.
