Compliance Control Officer (Fintech)

Location: Paris, France; on site at least 2 days a week, with up to 3 remote days

Salary: €65,000–€80,000 total package per year, plus BSPCE equity

What you will do

• Execute approximately 40 permanent controls per year across hirify.global’s crypto-asset service provider, investment firm, payment institution, and insurance broker licences.
• Design and run each control, including defining populations, sampling methods, test steps, and evidence requirements.
• Write evidence-based findings and recommendations, review them with relevant teams, and incorporate their responses.
• Maintain and improve the control plan, regulatory references, control library, and risk-based spot controls.
• Track recommendations through closure, perform re-tests, and escalate overdue actions.
• Automate control activities with data and AI tools, including full-population testing and control-library maintenance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in permanent control, regulatory consulting, or financial-services inspection, with hands-on control execution.
• Working papers reviewed during a regulator inspection or periodic internal audit.
• Control-testing experience in at least two licensed institution types, including crypto-asset service providers, investment firms, payment or e-money institutions, or insurance intermediaries.
• Hands-on use of data and AI tools, including automation of control activities.
• Ability to plan and deliver independently without an existing control-framework team.
• Native-level French and professional English required.

Nice to have

• Experience working across multiple financial-services licences.
• Experience building or improving control libraries and risk-based spot controls.
