Senior Platform Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Contribute to system architecture and design decisions, balancing scalability, maintainability, security, and delivery speed.
• Own platform services from design through production, improving reliability, performance, efficiency, observability, and SLO compliance.
• Automate infrastructure and operational workflows to reduce toil and increase engineering velocity.
• Maintain production-readiness standards, coding quality, reusable code, CI/CD delivery, and release planning.
• Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident investigations, and drive post-mortem improvements.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, feedback, and knowledge sharing while collaborating with product and engineering leaders.

Requirements

• Considerable professional experience in platform engineering on complex, scalable systems.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS, distributed cloud architectures, distributed systems, microservices, and resilience patterns.
• Experience operating production platforms handling at least 6,000 requests per second, including enterprise deployment processes such as blue-green deployments.
• Proficiency with Terraform, configuration management, Python, Go, or similar automation languages, plus significant experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or PHP.
• Hands-on experience with observability, incident management, Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience mentoring engineers and using agentic AI or a strong interest in applying new tooling to increase productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience with chaos engineering, reliability testing, security best practices, or compliance frameworks.
• Open-source or wider software community contributions.
• Experience running ECS at scale and working with generative or agentic AI.
