Solution Engineer II (Payments)

Location: Leeds, UK

Base salary: £48,800–£73,200 annually, plus 30% OTE.

What you will do

• Lead technical engagements with prospective and existing merchants alongside sales teams.
• Qualify, shape, close, and support new and existing business opportunities.
• Create and present product demonstrations.
• Conduct technical discovery and design integration solutions for prospects.
• Collaborate with product teams on improvements, initiatives, and feature requests.
• Work with implementation managers and customer success teams to support smooth client journeys.

Requirements

• Experience as a pre-sales or post-sales solution engineer.
• Ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
• Experience using API tools such as Postman and debugging or logging tools.
• Experience building integrations with payment service providers.
• Deep understanding of APIs and programming skills in at least one common programming language.
• Strong storytelling and consultative problem-solving skills.
