Company

hirify.global develops human-rated space stations, satellite systems, and space infrastructure for government, corporate, and private customers.

What you will do

  • Lead the design of propulsion, thermal control, and environmental control and life support systems for future Haven modules.
  • Own component-level design practices for pressure vessels, tubing, seals, valves, fans, filters, and ducting systems.
  • Lead and mentor fluid systems designers while building cross-system capability and clear technical ownership.
  • Integrate fluid systems with structures, manufacturing, operations, analysis, testing, and information systems.
  • Develop ground support equipment and test stands for development, qualification, and acceptance testing.
  • Manage design reviews, risks, action items, supplier qualification, external technical interfaces, and lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or another technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of system design experience with component-level design authority on flight hardware, preferably in propulsion, thermal, or ECLSS systems.
  • 2+ years managing or overseeing a technical engineering team, plus experience in systems engineering, technical project management, or customer-facing aerospace programs.
  • Expertise in fluid systems, including high-pressure systems, fracture criticality, P&IDs, feed system concepts of operations, and vehicle fill and drain integration.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, making technical decisions, supporting PDR/CDR reviews, and managing risks and action items.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience building an in-house design team or working in a startup or fast-paced development environment.
  • Mission operations experience involving propulsion, thermal, or ECLSS systems.
  • Experience with component and hardware-in-the-loop testing, electric propulsion interfaces, tubing assembly, and design for manufacturing or assembly.
  • Background in fracture mechanics or composite overwrap pressure vessel certification.

Culture & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents.
  • Paid time off, vacation, paid parental leave, disability insurance, and life insurance.
  • Company equity and access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
