QA Automation Engineer (Python/Robot Framework)

What you will do

• Build and maintain automated test suites on a custom-built testing framework.
• Extend the framework with new keywords and libraries and select suitable tools for new requirements.
• Automate end-to-end smoke and regression scenarios across REST APIs, messaging flows, and databases.
• Write maintainable Python code, Robot Framework tests, and Shell scripts for test data, environments, and test execution.
• Participate in code reviews, fix flaky tests at their root cause, and keep CI/CD pipelines reliable.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and technical leads while improving testing practices.

Requirements

• Scientific degree and 3+ years of hands-on test automation experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Robot Framework, and Shell scripting using sh or bash.
• Experience with REST API testing, SQL databases, Git, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills, attention to edge cases, and the ability to learn existing frameworks quickly.
• Excellent written and spoken English at C1 level.

Nice to have

• Scrum experience.
• Payments industry experience, including Visa, Mastercard, and the credit card lifecycle.
• ISTQB certification.
• French, German, or Italian language skills.
