What you will do

• Lead transaction reporting across Japan and other Asia jurisdictions, covering multiple regulators, exchanges, jurisdictions, and asset classes.
• Prepare reports across more than 50 reporting obligations by partnering with middle office teams, sales, internal clients, and external regulators.
• Evaluate and escalate risk items while maintaining accurate manual processes and strong operational controls.
• Partner with Technology to improve process scalability, automation, system enhancements, and reporting architecture.
• Test and implement regulatory rule changes, support new business initiatives, remediate issues, and improve controls.
• Assess complex transactions and market changes while collaborating with Business, Compliance, Legal, Engineering, and Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial industry, ideally in regulatory reporting, operations, compliance, or related control functions.
• Experience with financial products, data, operating processes, regulatory requirements, or change initiatives.
• Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, judgment, problem-solving, ownership, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to break down complex requirements and deliver clear, sustainable solutions with others.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with transaction reporting requirements or regulatory frameworks across Asia.
• Experience working with regulators, exchanges, or industry working groups.
• Experience delivering regulatory, operational, or technology change initiatives from requirements through implementation.
• Interest in trade flows, reporting logic, system architecture, data, automation, low-code, and emerging AI capabilities.
