Intern, Financial Markets Business Management (Fintech)

Location: Singapore

Employment type: Full time. Internship period: 6 months, January–June 2026.

ING operates a wholesale banking business in Asia Pacific and provides clients with financial markets products, services, and guidance.

What you will do

• Support Financial Markets governance, risk oversight, and business management activities across Asia Pacific.
• Prepare management information, dashboards, presentations, and reports for senior management, governance forums, and business reviews.
• Produce and improve conduct risk, front-office supervision, and business performance reporting through data analysis, trend identification, and data validation.
• Partner with Sales and Trading teams to collect, analyse, validate, and consolidate business information.
• Contribute to reporting automation, process improvement, efficiency, and data-quality initiatives.
• Participate in business management projects and gain exposure to front-office activities through interaction with Financial Markets professionals and desk-shadowing opportunities.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accountancy, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Advanced Excel skills; PowerPoint and presentation skills are required.
• Ability to analyse, interpret, and present data clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent spoken and written English required.

Nice to have

• Previous banking internship experience.
• Experience with VBA, macros, or Power BI.
• Interest in financial markets, governance, conduct risk, and business management.
