Software Engineer Intern (2027)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; in-office 3–5 days per week. Remote and part-time arrangements are not considered. Full-time availability is required during standard business hours, typically 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Salary: €2,450 per month for Portugal-based hires.

What you will do

• Ship and deliver a software project over a 12–14 week internship with autonomy and mentor support.
• Build software supporting hirify.global’s network, web applications, APIs, or control-plane services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams and work closely with an experienced mentor.
• Present the completed project to the company at the end of the internship.
• Participate in professional development workshops, networking programs, and technical community activities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree or program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, curiosity, adaptability, and ability to complete projects.
• Available for a full-time, 40-hour-per-week commitment for at least 12 weeks.
• Able to work in the Lisbon office 3–5 days per week.
• Not enrolled in classes that conflict with the full-time internship commitment.

Nice to have

• Personal software projects, open-source contributions, or experience with hirify.global’s developer platform.
