Senior Analytics Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; employees may live in any of the 50 states, with limited exceptions.

Base salary: $144,100–$230,300 or $151,700–$242,300 annually, depending on location.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain trusted analytical data products, reusable data models, standardized metrics, and semantic layer components.
• Translate business requirements into data models and precise metric definitions for BI, self-service analytics, data science, and AI-powered interfaces.
• Partner with data engineering, data science, business intelligence, product management, and business stakeholders on requirements, data contracts, priorities, and dependencies.
• Improve data quality, governance, discoverability, metadata, documentation, and issue resolution through automated validation and monitoring.
• Build and operate reliable last-mile transformation pipelines using version control, code review, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to analytics engineering standards, roadmap decisions, and modeling best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, statistics, business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field working with large datasets.
• Deep proficiency in SQL, dbt or an equivalent data transformation framework, and dimensional, denormalized, and entity-relationship modeling.
• Experience with Databricks or Snowflake, Git, semantic layers, metrics-as-code, metadata, data governance, and analytical data products.
• Experience applying software engineering practices including CI/CD, code review, automated testing, data quality checks, monitoring, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to lead cross-functional work, communicate technical trade-offs, define shared metrics, document self-service data, and mentor teammates.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools and validating generated SQL, transformation logic, and documentation.
