Senior Data Engineer (AI)

Salary: $152,000–$190,000 USD per year

Live entertainment and eCommerce organization operating Ticketmaster, live concert production, artist management, and entertainment marketing platforms.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Databricks, PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Optimize Spark and SQL workloads for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
• Contribute to the enterprise data lake, curated data assets, ingestion frameworks, and reusable engineering components.
• Support data migrations and modernization from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
• Use AI coding copilots and generative AI to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and repetitive automation.
• Collaborate with product teams and data consumers, participate in Agile delivery, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering standards.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Strong experience with Databricks and distributed data processing.
• Experience optimizing SQL and Spark workloads for performance and cost.
• Experience with AI development tools, data quality or monitoring tools, data modeling, governance, and CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in Agile, cross-functional environments with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
