Data Engineer (AWS/Snowflake)

Location: Hybrid in Oakland, California, with remote work and approximately 1–2 days per week in the Oakland office

Salary: $102,000–$162,000 per year, plus eligibility for discretionary incentive compensation programs

What you will do

• Design, develop, configure, debug, and evaluate data extraction and transformation jobs.
• Store data in formats suitable for stakeholder use and collect metadata, data lineage, and transformation logic.
• Analyze existing applications and systems, formulate logic for new systems, and perform database design, coding, testing, and debugging.
• Design and deploy new systems and enhancements while ensuring compatibility and interoperability.
• Resolve application problems and deliver solutions aligned with enterprise standards, architectures, and strategies.
• Collaborate with teams, clients, data owners, and leadership throughout the development cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with data engineering and ETL ecosystems such as Informatica, SAP BODS, or OBIEE.
• Experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, and Snowflake SQL.
• Experience with AWS, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, and Git.
• Knowledge of cloud data warehouse design and management, optimized Snowflake SQL, and storage and compute resource management.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement involving the Oakland, California office.
