Senior DevOps Technical Manager (Firmware)

What you will do

• Lead the Firmware DevOps team responsible for firmware CI, build tooling, and release operations.
• Own the architecture, reliability, and scalability of build, test, and validation automation.
• Manage compiler versions, cross-compilation environments, and dependencies across product lines.
• Govern firmware versioning, packaging, sign-off gates, traceability, and release documentation.
• Standardize build and release tooling, reduce technical debt, and improve pipeline stability and speed.
• Hire, manage, and develop DevOps engineers while partnering with Firmware Engineering, QA, and Program Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps or build engineering, including 3+ years managing engineers.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems such as QuickBuild, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions at scale.
• Strong knowledge of embedded or firmware build systems and cross-compilation toolchains, including CMake or Clang.
• Experience owning formal software or firmware release processes, including versioning and artifact management.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash, infrastructure-as-code, and technical communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with SSD, storage, or embedded firmware in a semiconductor environment.
• Familiarity with artifact repositories and containerized build environments.
• Experience with regulatory and traceability requirements for firmware release sign-off.
