Senior Configuration Analyst (DevOps): Supporting Veterans Affairs applications and leading cloud migration while building and maintaining configuration management, release engineering, and deployment processes with an accent on reproducible builds, automation, and governance. Focus on designing CI/CD workflows, resolving dependency and deployment issues, managing software baselines across environments, and mentoring junior analysts and engineers.
Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington will not be considered.
Salary: $74,325–$82,500 annually

What you will do
- Support Veterans Affairs applications and lead migration to the cloud.
- Develop and maintain configuration management tools for internally developed and commercial software.
- Perform configuration management and release engineering across multiple environments.
- Design automated productivity tools, build procedures, and repeatable deployment processes.
- Establish configuration standards and train developers in configuration management and software quality practices.
- Provide technical guidance, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor junior analysts and engineers.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) and pass the required government investigation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field plus 10+ years of relevant experience; eight or more years may substitute for education.
- Expertise in software configuration management, release engineering, baselining, change control, status accounting, and build reproducibility.
- Experience with Git-based source control, CI/CD tools, artifact repositories, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Experience in large regulated or federal environments, with strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
Nice to have
- ITIL Foundation, CMII, or an equivalent configuration management certification.
- Experience with EDI X.12 medical claims, HL7, or FHIR.
