What you will do

• Develop computer vision and machine learning algorithms for object detection, classification, localization, and tracking on Group 1 UAVs.
• Write and test software integrating ML algorithms into aircraft, autopilots, camera payloads, and robotic systems.
• Explore, visualize, clean, and transform datasets to identify distribution differences and improve data quality.
• Implement ML systems and validate designs through experiments, metrics, testing, and verification.
• Analyze model performance and errors, select suitable algorithms and hardware, and design improvement strategies.
• Support requirements definition, concept design, prototyping, detailed design, evaluation, and validation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer vision, machine learning, mathematics, optimization, computer science, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with C/C++ and Matlab.
• Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow or Keras, scikit-learn, pandas, and OpenCV.
• Knowledge of Linux, computational statistics, mathematical optimization, data mining, exploratory data analysis, and predictive analytics.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements or be eligible for an export license; some positions may require current U.S. citizenship.
