Manufacturing Engineer I - Product Launch

Location: Tooele, Utah, US; onsite. Applicants may work in or relocate to Tooele, but relocation assistance is not available. Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the US, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $71,000–$91,000 USD annually, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement fixtures, tooling, machinery, mechanical systems, and process equipment for manufacturing and remanufacturing operations.
• Conduct engineering studies, feasibility analyses, technology assessments, simulations, testing, and validation.
• Create engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Manage projects from concept through implementation, including schedules, budgets, risks, procurement support, installation, and launch.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, maintenance, suppliers, and management to define requirements and deliver projects.
• Evaluate manufacturing capabilities, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and lead continuous improvement and technology assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• At least 6 months of experience in manufacturing, production, or product development through projects, internships, apprenticeships, co-ops, or professional work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing processes, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Project management, teamwork, relationship-building, adaptability, and willingness to travel occasionally.
• Permanent US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship and applications from existing visa holders are not accepted. An attached resume is required.

Nice to have

• One or more years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with automation, robotic systems, welding processes, lean manufacturing, process improvement, or industrial equipment design.
• Experience using AI tools and technologies to improve productivity, efficiency, or business outcomes.
