Principal, Technical Program Manager (AI)

Location: Onsite at the J Street office in Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Annual salary: $110,000–$220,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end execution of strategic, cross-functional technical programs.
• Own programs from planning through delivery and align Product, Engineering, Business, Data Science, and Design teams.
• Drive technical discussions, dependency management, risk mitigation, and structured executive decision-making.
• Build scalable operating mechanisms, define program metrics, and improve delivery predictability.
• Use AI, automation, and analytics to increase productivity and remove execution bottlenecks.
• Mentor TPMs and promote continuous improvement across programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business, or a related field, with relevant experience; alternatively, 8 years of relevant experience.
• At least 6 years of experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree, or 8 years of experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or a related area.
• Experience leading large-scale, complex, cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software systems, architecture, planning, governance, risk management, and execution.
• Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience using AI and automation to improve execution, with the ability to influence without authority and work through ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Project management certification.
• Master’s degree in business administration with a relevant specialization.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
