Senior Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within LATAM or the US

Helps financial institutions and other clients adopt AI and turn emerging technology into measurable business outcomes.

What you will do

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable batch, streaming, and event-driven data pipelines across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Own the Snowflake data platform, including architecture, data modeling, storage structures, performance, and data sharing.
• Build transformation pipelines, semantic layers, and metadata models that support AI, LLM, and natural-language data capabilities.
• Establish reusable reference architectures, templates, governance standards, and CI/CD practices for decentralized data teams.
• Lead and mentor one data engineer while coaching analysts on engineering practices and self-service data product development.
• Drive dbt adoption and evaluate AWS and Azure tooling, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Stream Analytics.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of dedicated data engineering experience building production-grade data pipelines.
• Advanced hands-on expertise with Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing.
• Experience integrating hybrid on-premises and cloud environments using batch, streaming, and event-driven patterns.
• Experience with semantic layers and structuring data for AI, LLM, or natural-language search features.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, including Python development in cloud environments such as Azure Functions.
• Collaborative coaching mindset with experience establishing governance and raising technical standards across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt and Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with AWS data ecosystems.
