Principal Systems Engineer - Cardiac Ablation Solutions (MedTech)

Location: Mounds View, Minnesota, United States; minimum 4 days per week onsite

Salary: $134,400–$201,600 per year for U.S. locations excluding Puerto Rico and specific California locations

What you will do

• Conduct interface testing within cardiac ablation systems and support commercial troubleshooting.
• Integrate systems into electrophysiology catheterization laboratory hospital environments.
• Develop integration, characterization, and troubleshooting tests, training materials, and guidance documents.
• Apply systems engineering principles and identify opportunities to improve assigned work.
• Support marketing, field engineering, technical services, and training teams with technical questions.
• Propose and implement improvements to systems and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 5 years, or a PhD with at least 3 years.
• Experience with systems engineering and defining systems architecture in medical device product development.
• Experience applying design controls for medical devices.
• Advanced understanding of electrophysiology and comfort working in hospital environments.
• Ability to create strategies and influence cross-functional teams.
• U.S. work authorization is required; sponsorship is offered for Principal-level roles and above.

• Experience providing technical support to commercial, field engineering, or training organizations.
