Principal Enterprise Architect (AI)

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana; Knoxville, Tennessee; Columbia, South Carolina; or Birmingham, Alabama. 5 days onsite.

Salary: $152,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise architecture for Generative AI, Agentic AI, and multi-agent solutions from concept through production.
• Define reusable AI architecture patterns, standards, reference architectures, and implementation guidance.
• Design patterns for agent orchestration, tool integration, memory, retrieval, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Integrate AI solutions securely with enterprise APIs, applications, workflow platforms, identity services, and data sources.
• Embed security, privacy, regulatory compliance, Responsible AI, auditability, guardrails, and human oversight.
• Guide engineering and product teams through technical reviews, production readiness, observability, resiliency, scalability, and model lifecycle management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of enterprise architecture experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, and production AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents, multi-agent systems, orchestration, tool calling, memory, retrieval, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
• Strong AWS and cloud-native technology experience for scalable enterprise applications and AI workloads.
• Experience with enterprise integration, RAG, semantic search, trusted knowledge sources, metadata, and data lineage.
• Knowledge of AI governance, security, privacy, compliance, containers, event-driven systems, API management, and IAM.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development, requirements traceability, structured specifications, or Spec Driven Development.
