Project Coordinator

Location: Site-based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; travel to additional Federal Government projects may be required. Legally authorized to work in Canada and able to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance.

What you will do

• Coordinate subcontracted mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and BMS/controls work against design, technical, quality, and schedule requirements.
• Prepare, distribute, and track tender documents, RFIs, site instructions, and shop drawing submissions.
• Support construction management through onsite supervision, inspections, safety monitoring, and progress reporting.
• Participate in construction, safety, start-up, commissioning, and close-out meetings.
• Track project costs against schedules, commitments, and purchase orders, and recommend mitigation strategies for project risks.
• Lead close-out documentation and maintain accurate electronic project records.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in Canada and able to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance.
• Valid provincial driver's licence and ability to operate a motor vehicle independently.
• Diploma or degree in construction management, project management, quality assurance, business administration, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Technical understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, building automation/controls, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, scheduling, billing, and quantitative information analysis.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Project.

Nice to have

• Training related to safety, quality, or environmental programs, such as ISO.
• Education, training, or experience in engineering, energy analysis, or related technical disciplines.
