Salary: $117,000–$234,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

hirify.global is part of Walmart Global Tech, with a Data Services team developing and operating scalable distributed SQL and NoSQL platforms for enterprise applications.

What you will do

• Collaborate with product, project, infrastructure, operations, and user experience teams to define technical designs.
• Develop, test, and deliver scalable, secure, maintainable software and component services.
• Support SQL databases, including PostgreSQL, and contribute extensions and plugins to the PostgreSQL open-source ecosystem using C.
• Troubleshoot business and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable resolutions.
• Manage projects from requirements gathering through deployment and support CI/CD, automation, telemetry, and monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance, documentation, direction, and mentorship to small engineering groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field plus 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience with software design, development, debugging, object-oriented programming, and C.
• Knowledge of API design, platform development, component services, and scalable maintainable solutions.
• Experience with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, automation scripting, defect management, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and provide technical guidance to peers.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
