Cyber Instructor (Cyber Operations)

Location: Hybrid in San Antonio, Texas, United States; average 1–2 days per week in the local office, with on-site customer work and up to 30% CONUS/OCONUS travel.

Salary: $100,664–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Engage customers to define learning requirements and objectives for complex technical and scenario-based training.
• Design training materials including web-based courses, videos, presentations, instructor guides, knowledge checks, practical exercises, and labs.
• Deliver advanced training in cyber hunt, log analysis, intrusion investigation, software operations, platform architecture, and related topics.
• Maintain and update course materials based on development processes, publications, emerging threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, operational units, trainers, and instructional designers to improve training adoption and effectiveness.
• Mentor internal teams on technical skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

Requirements

• Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship are required.
• 10 years of relevant experience with a related bachelor’s degree, 8 years with a related master’s degree, or 14 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience delivering technical training in classrooms or small groups and developing training curricula.
• Experience in cyber operations and analysis, including IDS, IPS, and SIEM tools.
• Strong presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, attend the local office 1–2 days per week, support in-person training, and travel up to 30% CONUS and OCONUS.

Nice to have

• Experience in Defensive Cyber Operations, Network Operations, or Intelligence Operations.
• Experience creating web-based training content with Markdown or HTML.
• Experience maintaining Learning Management System libraries and content.
• Government or military experience with cyber and defense organizations.
