Senior Financial Manager (Federal Financial Management)

What you will do

• Support a DHA audit program through in-depth program analysis and financial management.
• Advance DHP financial reporting objectives and the Universe of Transactions strategy using federal financial systems.
• Develop analytical techniques and tools for reviewing financial system data from multiple sources.
• Support remediation of deficiencies identified by DoW OIG or independent public accounting reviews.
• Prepare status briefings, corrective action plans, and remediation outputs using the OSW CFO NFR database.
• Maintain reconciled DHA NFR and OSW NFR dashboards with concurrence, non-concurrence, explanations, and proposed corrective actions.

Requirements

• Relevant certification such as CPA, CDFM, or CGFM; CPA is preferred.
• Four-year accounting degree from an accredited school or federal financial management and/or auditing experience.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Strong communication, leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with GFEBS, GAFS-R, DEAMS, MHS Genesis, ABACUS, Advana, and DDRS.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, and R.
• Experience with US GAAP, OMB, and Financial Management Regulation requirements.
• Experience designing communications and change management support for financial management and business process improvement.
