Senior Controls Engineer, Scrum Manager (Hybrid Powertrain)

Location: Milford, Michigan; hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote; must be able to report to the local office

What you will do

• Collaborate with Program Management and System Architects to refine program vision, own the team roadmap, and prioritize the backlog.
• Act as the Scrum Team content subject matter expert and coordinate dependencies with other Scrum Managers.
• Translate product feature strategy into user stories, including definition, estimation, sequencing, and acceptance criteria.
• Guide BDD, TDD, unit, integration, system, MIL, SIL, and HIL testing strategies.
• Validate story quality, acceptance tests, Definition of Done compliance, and end-user acceptance readiness.
• Participate in Program Increment Planning, demonstrations, retrospectives, ART events, and Scrum coaching.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Lead Hybrid Calibration Engineer, Hybrid Powertrain Calibration Engineer, or in a related role.
• 5 years of experience with propulsion controls algorithm development and calibration, embedded controls and software development, MATLAB, Simulink, DOORS, Git, and embedded controls delivery processes.
• 3 years of experience with plant modeling and analysis, electrification software and diagnostics, and system modeling and simulation.
• 3 years of experience with C programming, MIL/SIL/HIL testing, vehicle propulsion, chassis controls, high-voltage batteries, energy transfer, charging, and automotive systems.
