Senior Engineer HCM App Integration (Oracle HCM)

What you will do

• Lead technical architecture and day-to-day engineering for HCM integrations across Oracle HCM, OIC, and third-party platforms.
• Design, develop, review, test, deploy, monitor, and support integrations for benefits, payroll, retirement, equity, identity, and employee data.
• Act as a technical escalation and decision-making point for critical incidents and provide leadership coverage for the HCM Integration Manager.
• Build operational resiliency through documentation, runbooks, cross-training, knowledge transfer, succession planning, and primary/secondary ownership.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Payroll, Finance, Security, Enterprise Technology, vendors, and business stakeholders on roadmaps, architecture, prioritization, and delivery.
• Mentor engineers and improve engineering practices, production-support models, monitoring, escalation frameworks, and release processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise application engineering, HCM technology, integrations, or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Lead, Principal, or Staff Engineer leading complex technical architecture and engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, OIC, Oracle HCM APIs, HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, RTF/XSLT templates, Fast Formulas, value sets, HCM security, roles, AORs, workflows, and Visual Builder Studio.
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, web services, middleware or iPaaS, SFTP and file-based integrations, batch processing, and event-driven integrations.
• Experience with SDLC practices including source control, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, observability, deployment, monitoring, incident management, root-cause analysis, and change management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; experience with Jira, sprint ceremonies, distributed teams, regulated environments, and HCM transformations is required or beneficial depending on the area.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting major HCM implementations, migrations, transformations, or platform modernization.
• Experience working with geographically distributed onshore and offshore engineering teams.
• Experience in SOX-controlled or similarly regulated enterprise environments.
• Experience establishing on-call rotations, SLAs/SLOs, monitoring, escalation frameworks, and production-support models.
