Senior Design Engineer (Drivetrain)

Location: Onsite five days a week in East Peoria, Illinois, United States (Building KK). Domestic relocation assistance is available. Less than 10% travel may be required.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year

What you will do

• Design, analyze, validate, maintain, and improve drivetrain systems for articulated trucks, hard rock vehicles, large wheel loaders, and OEM applications.
• Communicate design changes through content definition and design reviews.
• Provide factory engineering support for assurance-of-supply, BIQ, NPI, and current production issues.
• Manage large assemblies in Creo and Teamcenter and release engine arrangements and platform-owned drawings.
• Lead product robustness, parts resourcing, cost reduction, and design control initiatives.
• Collaborate with factories, suppliers, and process partners on quality, sourcing, and production support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent accredited curriculum.
• Experience with computer-aided design and engineering tools for producing, analyzing, simulating, and testing product designs.
• Knowledge of product design and development from concept through production.
• Strong analytical thinking, technical problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week in East Peoria, Illinois.
