SAP Finance Functional Lead

Location: Apex, North Carolina, United States; onsite office work with approximately 40% travel for program milestones and deliverables

What you will do

• Support the Finance Global Process Owner with global decision-making, governance, and process harmonization.
• Validate SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling designs across GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, cost accounting, profitability, and period close.
• Oversee Finance master data readiness, including charts of accounts, cost and profit centres, financial masters, and asset registers.
• Lead Finance testing across SIT, UAT, regression testing, and cutover rehearsals, including defect triage.
• Drive cutover and go-live readiness through open-item management, balance validation, asset migration, reconciliations, and period-close alignment.
• Provide functional Finance support during go-live and hypercare.

Requirements

• Strong background in Finance, Accounting, Financial Control, FP&A, or Costing.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and ERP transformation or Finance systems change programmes.
• Strong understanding of GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, controlling, costing, and period close.
• Ability to challenge solution designs using practical Finance knowledge and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a standard office setting in Apex, North Carolina, United States.

Nice to have

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA qualification.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA FI, CO, AA, or PS modules.
• Experience in manufacturing or multi-entity corporate environments.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.
