NAND Strategist

Location: Santa Clara, California; primarily in-office at the Santa Clara office

Annual base salary: $162,000–$243,000 USD, with potential incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Serve as the company’s NAND industry subject matter expert across technology, suppliers, economics, capacity, pricing, and competitive dynamics.
• Develop the five-year NAND strategy with Sourcing, Business Units, and Product Management.
• Analyze technology transitions, wafer and bit capacity, layer scaling, TLC/QLC adoption, cost curves, supplier investments, consolidation, and supply-demand changes.
• Assess supplier roadmaps, manufacturing capabilities, capacity expansion, financial position, customer allocation, and competitive behavior.
• Build market and scenario models covering supply, demand, technology, pricing, capacity, and supplier behavior.
• Provide senior leadership with clear recommendations on structural industry changes, risks, opportunities, sourcing, and supply resiliency.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of the NAND flash memory industry and its major suppliers, technologies, manufacturing economics, capacity, and competitive landscape.
• Strong understanding of wafer capacity, bit growth, technology transitions, cost structures, utilization, supply-demand cycles, pricing, and supplier investment decisions.
• Strategic thinking, analytical rigor, market-modeling ability, and experience evaluating scenarios and challenging assumptions.
• Strong cross-functional influence across Sourcing, Business Units, Product Management, Engineering, Finance, and Operations.
• Executive communication skills and an established network across NAND suppliers, semiconductor companies, technology partners, analysts, and other industry participants.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in NAND, semiconductors, storage, or a closely related technology industry; direct NAND experience is strongly preferred.
