Sr. People Analytics Engineer (SQL/Python)

Location: Atlanta-based applicants

Salary: $111,000–$138,700 annually for Atlanta-based applicants; annual performance bonus and equity awards may also be available.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models within the data warehouse.
• Build, optimize, and manage ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from disparate sources.
• Implement data quality standards, governance practices, monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Optimize data models and SQL queries for reliable, efficient analytical access.
• Evaluate and implement modern data tooling and infrastructure improvements, including the strategic migration to a next-generation analytics toolset.
• Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders; document data solutions and provide user education and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in senior or staff-level data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar data infrastructure roles.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex query development, data manipulation, performance tuning, and knowledge of SQL dialects.
• Strong Python skills for data extraction, transformation, loading, and workflow automation.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and schema design, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience with collaborative software development practices, version control, testing, CI/CD, system design, and cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with dbt.
• Experience with Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or related cloud data services.
• Experience with data quality, security, monitoring, Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar ingestion tools.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, Hex, or another major BI tool.
