Principal Data Platform Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor the data engineering team, providing technical direction and delivery oversight.
• Own the vision, architecture, and roadmap for enterprise data, analytics, business intelligence, and master data platforms.
• Design and optimize cloud-based data platforms on GCP using BigQuery and modern data stack technologies.
• Build and enhance data pipelines with dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte, Dagster, and Airflow.
• Lead master data management initiatives using Pimcore or equivalent platforms.
• Partner with business, technology, and executive stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

• 10–12+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics platforms, and enterprise data architecture.
• 2–4+ years of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Expert proficiency in SQL and Python, with strong data engineering and data modeling knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte, Looker, Hex, Dagster, and Airflow.
• Strong Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience, particularly in GCP environments.
• Experience with AI capabilities in analytics platforms and ownership of Pimcore or comparable master data management solutions.
