Commercial Counsel (Chemicals)

Location: UK home-based, with periodic in-person meetings and occasional travel to hirify.global locations, particularly European sites. Immediate ability to live and work in the UK is required.

What you will do

• Provide legal advice on sales and purchasing contracts, terms and conditions, quality agreements, and claims.
• Support litigation and real estate transactions in coordination with external counsel.
• Design and deliver legal training for hirify.global associates.
• Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives and harmonize legal working practices across the EMEAI region.
• Promote honesty, integrity, respect, responsibility, compliance, and ethical business practices.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or barrister authorized to practise in England and Wales or another UK jurisdiction, or a lawyer qualified through the bar exam in an EU jurisdiction.
• At least 5 years' post-qualification experience; candidates with different levels of PQE may be considered when they demonstrate the required skills and commercial judgment.
• Experience in an in-house commercial counsel role or a major law firm.
• Strong experience in general commercial law, including sales, purchasing, competition, tort, and corporate law.
• Excellent legal drafting, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to use AI-enabled tools, including Copilot.

• Experience in the manufacturing sector or chemical industry.
