Senior Manager, IT (Biotechnology)

Salary: $220,000–$250,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead the IT function and define technology strategy, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and operational standards.
• Build and maintain scalable cloud, network, server, and end-user computing environments using AWS and/or Azure.
• Develop the cybersecurity program, including identity management, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, incident response, and security awareness.
• Ensure validation and compliance of GxP-regulated systems, including 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity requirements, and SOX IT controls.
• Oversee Microsoft 365, ERP, eQMS, laboratory, and other scientific and business applications in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Manage the IT team, managed service providers, budgets, vendors, licensing, disaster recovery, business continuity, and technology lifecycle processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including responsibility for an IT function, department, or team.
• Experience supporting a growing clinical-stage biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organization.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, networks, servers, cybersecurity, and end-user technologies.
• Strong knowledge of computer system validation, GxP environments, 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity, enterprise applications, IT budgets, vendors, and managed service providers.
• Experience with SOX IT controls in a publicly traded company and strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting commercialization preparation or significant operational scale-up.
• Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, ITIL, PMP, or related credentials.
• Experience in regulated biotechnology, cell therapy, gene therapy, or pharmaceutical environments.
