Credit Analyst (Leveraged Finance)

What you will do

• Monitor and analyze a portfolio of European high-yield, stressed, and distressed credits.
• Conduct fundamental credit analysis, relative value assessments, and special situations analysis.
• Build forward-looking valuation models and generate actionable investment ideas.
• Track leveraged finance market trends and collaborate with analysts, reporters, lawyers, and editorial groups.
• Respond to subscriber requests and participate in calls to provide informed perspectives on covered credits.
• Maintain communication with clients and industry contacts and respond to market-moving news.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in credit research, investment banking, or a comparable buy-side or sell-side role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Experience building capital structures, financial models, scenario analyses, and cash flow projections.
• Strong understanding of business operations, key risks, revenue drivers, credit metrics, and macroeconomic factors.
• Ability to interpret financial statements, assess business performance, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
