Principal Data Architect (AWS)

Location: Brazil; 100% remote. The role may require up to 25% travel depending on business needs.

What you will do

• Define strategic roadmaps and targeted outcomes for customers in a consultative capacity.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex cloud-based data solutions.
• Act as a data engineering subject-matter expert when defining engagements with presales teams.
• Conduct technical interviews for architect and engineer candidates.
• Provide technical guidance to architects and engineers.
• Oversee the development and implementation of data standards and operating procedures.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience working with the AWS data landscape.
• 10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems.
• Experience with at least two traditional data areas, such as relational database design, data modeling, BI, data governance, or MDM.
• Experience with at least two newer data areas, such as Spark, streaming, NoSQL, machine learning and MLOps with SageMaker, generative AI with Bedrock, or DataOps.
• Experience with at least two of infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and Python for analytics or automation.
• Strong drive toward standardizing and documenting solutions, plus excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current legal authorization to work in Brazil is required; visa or work permit sponsorship is not available.
