Geospatial Data Scientist (GEOINT)

Location: On-site in Springfield, Virginia, United States. U.S. citizenship is required, along with an active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance and willingness to obtain a CI polygraph.

Salary: $140,000–$187,000–$205,700 annually for the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Ingest and spatially process internal and external geospatial and intelligence data sources.
• Develop scalable analytics for pattern-of-life and activity-based intelligence analysis.
• Build correlations across multiple data types in a big data science environment and on-premises HPC infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, data scientists, subject matter experts, customers, and mission partners.
• Develop and refine analytics, methodologies, and workflows for exporting points and places of interest.
• Automate workflows supporting Mosaic, Quantum Horizon, BDSE, and CPAAC customers and partners.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and work on-site in Springfield, Virginia.
• Current and active TS/SCI clearance required; willingness to obtain a CI polygraph is required.
• At least 10 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or in a similar role.
• Experience with a scripting or data language such as Python or SQL.
• In-depth knowledge of technical data types and telecommunications protocols, including cellular, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet data.
• Experience performing data analysis to help partners inform and scale analytics.

Nice to have

• Experience with activity-based intelligence or pattern-of-life analysis.
• Experience creating innovative analytical workflows, methodologies, and scalable solutions.
• Experience with Spark, PySpark, Spark SQL, or Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience briefing senior leaders or working in customer-facing roles.
• Experience supporting intelligence analysts or special operations customers.
