Senior Java Cloud Engineer (Azure & Spring Boot)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; on-site role with a face-to-face interview required

Pay range: $60–$62 per hour

hirify.global is recruiting for a contract engineering position supporting enterprise applications.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade Java and J2EE applications.
• Build scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA/Hibernate.
• Design and deploy cloud-native applications on Azure using App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Git, and Azure DevOps, automating build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Support applications across Unix/Linux, on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments; analyze logs and troubleshoot production issues.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, database integrations, and application performance.

Requirements

• 7–9 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE and Spring development.
• Strong experience with Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and relational databases.
• Hands-on Azure cloud development experience, including secure authentication and authorization with Azure Active Directory.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, application monitoring, and release troubleshooting.
• Unix/Linux administration skills, including shell commands, file systems, permissions, processes, scheduled jobs, and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Must be available for work in Fort Worth, Texas, and attend a face-to-face interview with a coding exercise.

Nice to have

• Docker and Kubernetes, including AKS.
• Azure Container Apps and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Couchbase.
