AI Engineer (Python/Generative AI)

Location: Hybrid role in Charlotte, North Carolina; Irving, Texas; or Raleigh, North Carolina, with 3 mandatory onsite days per week

What you will do

• Build agentic AI prototypes and enterprise applications using generative AI models, agent frameworks, and enterprise data.
• Accelerate banking use cases with Python, Agent Development Kit, LangChain, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows.
• Design and implement secure, accurate, stable, scalable, and user-focused LLM solutions.
• Apply MLOps and LLMOps practices across cloud-native development and application migration initiatives.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, product stakeholders, and business teams while contributing to technical roadmaps.
• Conduct peer reviews, resolve code/build/deployment roadblocks, and manage software development and security standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 2+ years of Python engineering experience and strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• 2+ years of experience with multi-cloud environments, including Azure, GCP, or OpenShift, and cloud-native development or application migration.
• 1+ year of experience with retrieval-augmented generation or agentic workflows in generative AI applications.
• Ability to collaborate with developers using branches, code merges, peer reviews, and standard software engineering practices.
• Ability to work onsite three days per week in Charlotte, Irving, or Raleigh.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps tools, infrastructure as code, and test-driven development.
• Financial industry experience and familiarity with regulatory or compliance requirements.
• Cybersecurity and risk management experience, including work with sensitive data.
• AI certifications from Amazon or Google.
