Director, Software Development (Geospatial SaaS)

Salary: $210,600–$283,500 annual base pay

What you will do

• Define and execute the technical vision and architecture roadmap for a mass notification SaaS platform.
• Lead and mentor globally distributed engineering teams, including onsite and offshore resources.
• Design and deliver high-volume geospatial and mapping capabilities with third-party integrations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, build prototypes, and translate customer and market requirements into product capabilities.
• Drive security, compliance, accreditation, and engineering excellence across the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Extensive experience architecting and delivering large-scale enterprise software platforms and mission-critical SaaS applications.
• Deep expertise in geospatial technologies, GIS data, mapping platforms, and location-based services.
• Proven experience leading global engineering teams and delivering complex software releases across distributed organizations.
• Background in secure software development and regulated environments, including FedRAMP or comparable government and defense requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with mass notification, critical event management, emergency communications, or public safety solutions.
• Experience supporting U.S. Federal, Defense, Homeland Security, or emergency management customers.
• Expertise in real-time communication, large-scale notification delivery, or location-aware alerting technologies.
• Patents, invention disclosures, or a demonstrated record of technical innovation.
