TL;DR
Rotor Analysis Engineer (Helicopter Rotors) (Mechanical Engineering/FEM): Designing and substantiating helicopter rotor and suspension parts across development and in-service phases with an accent on static and fatigue analysis, finite element modelling, and structural integrity. Focus on preparing and analyzing ground and flight tests, assessing loads, and resolving complex modifications and incidents throughout the product life cycle.

Location: Marseille Area, based in Marignane, France. The position is available on a local contract and requires security clearance or eligibility for clearance.

Airbus Helicopters supports commercial and governmental helicopter programs, including H215, H225, NH90, and Tiger.

What you will do

  • Size and substantiate helicopter rotor and suspension parts for static strength and fatigue life.
  • Apply analytical methods, simulations, finite element modelling, and testing to verify safety margins and service lives.
  • Prepare, support, and analyze ground and flight tests in collaboration with laboratory and flight crew departments.
  • Provide engineering support for in-service activities, customer modifications, production part deliveries, and helicopter incidents.
  • Prepare technical data and documentation covering safety, performance, manufacturing, structural integrity, maintainability, and cost objectives.

Requirements

  • Five-year degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
  • At least six years of experience in mechanical part analysis.
  • Finite element modelling skills using tools such as HyperMesh and SAMCEF.
  • Advanced French and English.
  • Team spirit, autonomy, rigor, and strong mechanical understanding.
  • Ability to work under a local contract in France and obtain or be eligible for security clearance.
