What you will do

• Identify quality and reliability risks in part construction.
• Collaborate with design engineers to guide component selection.
• Plan, execute, and oversee screening tests and manufacturing tests for component validation and risk mitigation.
• Review bills of materials for new designs to ensure the use of reliable, compliant components.
• Interface with supply chain, design, and manufacturing teams to address component-related challenges.
• Engage external third parties for outsourced work, data reviews, and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical design, including components, circuits, PCBs, or electronic assemblies.
• Familiarity with JEDEC, AEC-Q and MIL component standards

Nice to have

• Experience in supply chain, purchasing, or manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and testing methodologies for electronic components.
• Proficiency in non-destructive and destructive lab analysis techniques.
• Experience in reliability statistics and data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
