Field Engineer (AI Pre-Sales)

Location: New York City, United States; full-time in-office work required

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 base salary annually, plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Own technical scoping and feasibility for pre-sales opportunities and partner integrations.
• Build working integrations with third-party APIs, CRMs, field service management platforms, telephony systems, and partner ecosystems.
• Develop reusable demo environments, sandbox tooling, fixture data, scripts, and reference implementations for the go-to-market organization.
• Configure and tune conversational AI for demonstrations and proof-of-concept scenarios, including prompt engineering.
• Partner with Account Executives, Partnerships, Product, and Engineering teams to explain technical concepts and translate customer requirements into implementation plans.
• Troubleshoot evaluations, pilots, and proof-of-concept deployments, and hand off production-ready work to Forward Deployed Engineering and Implementation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as Solutions or Sales Engineering, Deployment Engineering, Implementation, Integration Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or software engineering with customer exposure.
• Hands-on proficiency with TypeScript or JavaScript and frameworks and runtimes such as Next.js, React, and Node/Fastify.
• Experience integrating third-party and enterprise systems using REST APIs, JSON, authentication or OAuth, and webhooks.
• Working SQL skills and a solid understanding of relational data modeling and transformation.
• Ability to own technical work end-to-end, troubleshoot effectively, and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must work full-time in the hirify.global office at the NYC location.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-powered products, conversational AI platforms, or data-driven systems.
• Prompt engineering experience.
• Experience with call center or communications platforms, CRM or FSM integrations, or Partnerships and channel support.
