Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Lake Oswego, Oregon, United States; hybrid schedule with 4 days in the office

Salary: $105,600–$145,200 per year

What you will do

• Orchestrate and supervise AI development agents for coding, documentation, refactoring, prompt management, and quality evaluation.
• Design modular, scalable, cost-aware full-stack architectures with early feasibility and security reviews.
• Build frontend interfaces and backend API microservices with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Translate prototypes into execution plans and maintain lightweight architectural decision records.
• Align engineering quality and delivery with key performance indicators and business outcomes.

Requirements

• Full-stack software development experience across frontend UI, backend microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and databases.
• Experience with React, C#, or SQL.
• Hands-on experience managing AI coding agents for code generation, refactoring, agentic programming, and prompt optimization.
• Experience establishing continuous quality assurance frameworks and automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Strong system architecture skills and experience translating product requirements into modular execution plans.
• Knowledge of ethical AI principles, including data privacy, explainability, transparency, and bias mitigation.

Nice to have

• Experience creating evaluation datasets or prompt libraries for AI agent workflows.
• Familiarity with platform integration standards, custom file services, and architectural decision record frameworks.
