Manager - QA (Food Safety)

Location: Must live in the Columbus/Dublin, Ohio area and work a hybrid schedule; approximately 50% travel required.

Salary: $105,000–$184,000 annually. Base pay may be up to $145,000 per year, with a target annual bonus of 20% of base salary.

What you will do

• Develop, update, and implement food safety and quality programs for major and minor product categories.
• Manage supplier compliance with Wendy’s food safety, quality, sanitation, production, CSR, and animal welfare standards.
• Schedule and oversee food processor audits, including annual third-party audits.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, sampling frequencies, specifications, and product quality data management.
• Partner with R&D, QSCC, Operations, franchisees, and company restaurants on product development and quality initiatives.
• Recommend corrective actions for supplier and product non-compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in food processing QA or Operations.
• Knowledge of food science, HACCP, food processing technology, equipment, and microbiology.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of statistical analysis and statistical process control.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must live in the Columbus/Dublin, Ohio area and work a hybrid schedule.
